Salem Volunteer Fire Department is located in Lexington, GA on Hwy 22, in rural Oglethorpe County.
Our department is manned only by volunteers. Our department meets the first and third Monday nights of the month at 7PM. The first Monday is our training session and the third is our business meeting.
We are given $4500 from Oglethorpe County funds and the rest is raised through fundraisers. We share the responsibility of protecting the county with 13 other volunteer fire departments.
If you would like to volunteer or have an interest in learning about our department, we welcome you to join us. Please also feel free to drop by the station anytime you see the door open. We welcome visitors to view the equipment and the station anytime.
